However, it was no different from setting up a desktop PC—in fact, due to its limited purpose, it only needed to be connected to the internet and a printer. Both the thermal printer and A4 paper worked perfectly. It correctly identified the tungsten ring. At my friend‘s place, it apparently identifies it as Au, which is a scary thought. But with this machine, there‘s no problem. What made me happy was testing a frame (probably from something it was attached to) found among the fakes, which showed a 21% gold content. I run a precious metal buying shop and managed without an XRF analyzer until now, so honestly, I wasn‘t expecting great cost performance, but it might be quite high.”
